What is skin tag removal?

Skin tag removal is the removal of small, benign growths that commonly occur on the neck, underarms, groin folds or around the eyelids. These growths are very common and can affect both men and women. A typical person can develop hundreds of skin tags in his or her lifetime.

Why do you need skin tag removal?

While skin tags are benign and harmless, people do choose to have them removed for aesthetic reasons. Other times, certain skin tags can cause discomfort and itch especially if they rub against clothing or adjacent skin, causing friction.

What can you expect when undergoing skin tag removal?

During Skin Tag Removal

You will be under local anaesthesia. Skin tags are usually snipped off or cauterised. This will remove the skin tag completely.

After Skin Tag Removal

You can expect slight reddening and scabbing after the skin tag removal for between 7 to 10 days, and occasional post-treatment pigmentation that will fade after a while.
